Oil Boiler Install, repair & service
Oil boilers use a stored supply of oil to generate heat or hot water in a property and are popular for use in rural or remote properties where there is no direct access to the mains gas grid. Oil boilers are available in a range of wattage's and heating outputs and are suitable for any sized property.
Oil boilers are available in a choice of either oil heating boilers or oil combi boilers. Oil combi boilers eradicate the need for water tanks and cylinders as they contain an internal hot water store to supply domestic hot water.
Modern oil boilers have equal efficiency to gas central heating systems. They use an oil-fired burner to heat water before passing it to the radiators and taps throughout the property. Although oil boilers are efficient to power they are not particularly kind to the environment due to the higher Carbon Dioxide emissions they produce.
As an alternative to gas heating, oil combi boilers allow you to keep fuel stored near your property and top up the unit according to your needs. Modern oil-fired combi boilers can be very energy efficient (up to 95%) and there are many ‘A’ rated models on the market as well as other types of boilers.
Scott Brothers Heating install, service and repair Oil boilers across thew North East UK, including some of the UK's most recognisable and trusted brands such as Worcester Bosch and Grant. Enjoy increased fuel efficiency and lower running costs with a new high ErP A-Rated Oil Boiler.
Benefits of Oil Boilers
- Oil fired boilers are exceptionally energy efficient and heat water only on demand.
- Oil is a more efficient fuel than gas, so it gives a good return on every unit of energy.
However:
- Oil-fired combi boilers are slightly slower to provide hot water than gas combi boilers, thus more suitable for smaller properties.
- Similarly to the price of gas, oil price continues to steadily rise.
- A household combi oil boiler requires periodic maintenance in order to guarantee its safety since a problem in any oil boiler can be dangerous.
The Cost of Oil Fired Combi Boilers
Oil combination boilers prices normally vary from £1,000 to £2,800, even though the final price of the boiler depends on the attributes, efficiency, size, quality, environmental standards and compliance.
- Eurocal: £1,350-1,900
- Warmflow: £1,700-1,950
- Grant Vortex: £1,800-2,000
- Firebird: £1,850-2,150
- Worcester Greenstar: £2,000-2,300
There is an additional expenditure on supplying your oil central heating boiler regularly with oil. The annual domestic oil demand is approximately between 600 and 1,750 litres. Oil can be bought separately, costing around £220-£280 for 500 litres .
